Mangalore, Sep 8: The new Tulu movie, ‘Kadala Mage’, was formally released at a function held in Hotel Woodlands here on Friday, September 8 morning.

Shri Devanand Swamiji of Odiyoor, leading lady of the movie Sarita Jain, promoter of the movie and district minister-in-charge B Nagaraj Shetty, MP Manorama Madhwaraj, MLAs N Yogish Bhat and Padmanabha Kottari, IGP western range Satyanarayana Rao, Kateel temple trustee Asranna, MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik, Kannada Sahitya Parishat’s DK president Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, businessman A J Shetty and others were present on the occasion.

The movie is based on the lives of the fishermen’s community of the western coast. Their hard work, integrity and self-respect and other similar values have been highlighted in the movie.

Coming at a time when there has been a drought of Tulu movies, ‘Kadala Mage’ is expected to hit on well with the viewers.
